Sat 26th December, another Catch Up

Up at 7.15am this morning...on a Saturday, after going to bed at gone 1pm...most unusual (though having to get up to let the dog out for a wee, then Paul's snoring when I returned to bed might have something to do with it ;-) ).

So a quick catch up of what I have been doing and why I haven't posted anything for a while.
Firstly I have been trying to get as much of my stock onto facebook in the hopes of getting some pre-Christmas sales. I refuse to do a Black Friday sale as that is one American import I don't like, besides my stuff was cheap enough to start and has been reduced already.

On top of that I have been trying to sort out car club stuff, including printing raffle tickets for our Crimbo draw, arranging an alternative venue after our normal double booked us for our Crimbo buffet, and making sure everything is in place for our Christmas Dinner Dance.

The of course there is Christmas to think about my myself and my family, lists to make, arrangements to make etc.

Lastly, Paul's brother and sister-in-law came over from Switzerland for their pre-Christmas visit on Wednesday and I needed to get the house clean and tidy as they always join us for one evening for dinner and a film. As I may have mentioned before, I HATE housework and for most of the year I do the minimum needed to keep the place habitable...lol So when guests are imminent I have to get very busy! (My own fault of course and in the end I spent a good few hours on the afternoon they were due to come over getting it all done...even roped in Paul to help, poor chap).

Today I am going to head out to the van port and try to finish strengthening the van port and will take photos to show you when it is done. Then after that I will be making a lemon cheesecake for tomorrow's family 'Christmas Tea time' when we swap pressies with Ian and Stef who won't be here for the big day itself. I also want to make a couple of giant jaffa cakes one for Ian. Then we need to go to the shops to get last minute pressie bits for the two of them (I am so organised...not!), and if I have time I have a glass I need to engrave for an order. All that before we head out this evening for dinner then a ghost tour of Bolsover castle, and I haven't even mentioned the washing up from last nights meal...though perhaps the washing up fairies will do that whilst I am otherwise occupied.
Well, I can hope...right ;-)
