Had a banana and glass of water for breakfast and headed out at 9.30am to the van port.
Had Paul's help for a bit and we managed to get half of the tongue and groove planks up on the side of the van port which sound help reinforce it a lot. Then Paul headed in and I stayed out until 2.30pm doing more work. I put in a section of reclaimed panelling which has a window in on the other side of the vanport, next to the door. I also put more planks at the back of the vanport. By the time I am finished it will be truly winter ready, although it did survive last winter ok...but more secure and strong is always good in my opinion.
Came in and got changed then we heading to the place where we have our car club meetings. I needed to check if they had us booked in for our Christmas buffet and Dinner Dance which I am organising. The Dinner Dance is booked and fine apparently, but it looks like there might a problem with the afternoon buffet. A craft fair is booked in for that date and time, but the manageress didn't seem to know anything about it (I had found the listing on facebook). I have to wait to hear from her tonight to see if it is ok to go ahead or not.
We headed to a country pub that we know but haven't been to for a while (a possible alternative if we need one for the buffet). Had dinner there, I had Hunter's chicken with chips and salad...then chocolate fudge cake and ice cream for afters.
After dinner I spoke to the pub owners and they don't have anything booked for the date we need, so as soon as I know what is happening I can book in with them if I need to. Phew, so much pressure!
Time to do a quick stock take now so that I know what I need to put on my Cute 'N' Creepy facebook page to try and catch some of those Christmas shoppers ;-)
By the way if you would like to take a peek at what I have for sale you can do so here... ;-)
