But now I am back and it is time to get back with the 'programme' as it were...to eat right, drink enough water (and cut out the pop that crept back in) and do regular exercise (including both aerobic and to counteract my back pain).
My back is at present giving my a fair bit of discomfort, but given that as I mentioned my eating has been creeping back to the old ways and I haven't been doing my exercises as I should that isn't really surprising. The lbs that have piled back on don't help either, I am rather ashamed to say that I have put back on 10lbs during the past 3 weeks :-( Now I am hoping that a lot of that is water retention due to me drinking more pop than water, and I am going to put that right by drinking nothing but water from no until further notice. I might have to put the timer back into use to remind myself to drink some at regular intervals as I often forget.
So much work undone though and it is rather scary how quickly I fall back into old habits...and what an effect those habits seem to have on my waistline and my well being.
Today the plan is to have a fast day and drink plenty of water, I have already done my back exercises and will be doing lots of tidying up to get the house back in order as that has slipped somewhat over the past few weeks too (what with being away, having visitors and general slacking off).
Tomorrow I will be back to the no wheat, no processed sugars, no processed foods and water being the only water I will drink. I hope that I will be able to stick to this long term and really don't want to allow myself to slip as badly as I have these past weeks again. I know that today and the next couple of days probably won't be easy, but I owe it to myself to get back on track again (how many times do I have to say those words before can stick at being healthier in my choices??).
