I didn't have a great day, especially earlier in the day, I seemed to have managed to get infected with another cold...or was it allergies? Well, what ever it was it caused me to do a lot of sneezing yesterday and to have a drippy nose...yes, I know...unpleasant right.
Up at 8.00am and after seeing to the chickens and generally sneezing a lot I had brunch.
I ate two eggs (scrambled) and some tomatoes early in the day...but as often happens when I am feeling rough my diet slips. I had a grocery order turn up and I had ordered a pack of two small cream meringues (one for Paul and one for me)...they were the first casualties.
Later in the day, after and hour and a half or so in bed asleep, I was feeling a bit better and managed to experiment with making some vegan/gluten free small cakes (I wanted to improve the cakes I offer to folks who want and need these). They turned out alright...I know because I ate two of them (they at least had no icing).
I also ate a slice of regular 50/50 bread with a little butter and jam.
Then at about 6.00pm I had some dinner before going out to car club.
Medium jacket potato, tomatoes and tuna with some mayonnaise.
On coming home from car club I ate my last Pistachio magnum...very tasty, but I must resist buying more as they are too tempting! ;-)

So, on to today...
Up at 8.00am
Saw to the chickens and did some pottering around, tidying the kitchen ready for baking etc.11am - 2 eggs (scrambled), 4 tomatoes and 2 slices of wheat/GF brown toast with some butter.
Spent the rest of the morning and a couple of hours into the afternoon searching for venues to have our car club Christmas dinner. I had been asked about having one by one of the members and wanted to oblige so gave out questionnaires asking what they wanted, when and how much they wanted to pay etc. Turns out what they wanted was dinner and entertainment for £20 each...I realised once I started looking that this wasn't going to be easy to deliver. Still I found a few options (though all have some down sides, price, location etc) and have sent them to Stuart our chairman for his opinion.
I then got on with the baking for Ann across the road, and also managed to bake another test bake...this time apple and toffee chip cakes which will be the base for my Toffee Apple Cider cupcakes for the Whitby Kustom stall. They turned out rather nicely (last years recipe was a little stodgy, these were just as tasty but lighter), I know this because I ate one...it has to be done when trying new recipes you know :-/
Tonight around 8pm I ate a medium jacket potato with a little butter and cheese, a large flat mushroom with a little garlic and cheese and a venison and cranberry burger.
Not sure what the weigh in result will be tomorrow...I know I haven't been drinking enough water these last couple of days. All I do know is that we are giving blood tomorrow and I wish it was before I had to weigh! ;-)
