Saturday
Up at 8.15am
9.30am - Natural yoghurt, banana, grapes and oats
We headed off to get chicken food as we were running low.
2.00pm - 2 small pork pies with cheese coleslaw, washed down with a glass of Pepsi Max
I spent the rest of the afternoon making Australian marzipan animals...these ones...
Later I made some more badges for the stall and some pocket mirrors.
Paul led us astray by suggesting a Chinese takeaway (we had agreed not to have any takeways until Christmas...so much for that idea), though in all fairness I didn't need much persuading ;-)
Then I followed sweet and sour chicken balls and chips with a piece of cream sponge cake.
Sunday
Up at 8.00am
Fed the chickens, then gave the coop a good clean. I normally clean the poop out each day, but as Bruce will be looking after them next week (and I don't expect him to clean it out like I do) it needed to be spotless to allow for it getting messy through the week. I also re-arranged their outside living arrangements (they have two grass runs which I alternate every few weeks to ensure the grass doesn't get too messed up (I also pick up the poop from the runs most days).
Next (although it wasn't on my to do list) I turned my attention to the poly tunnel, cutting and digging up most of the tomato plants as they are finished now. Gave the place a good general tidy up and watered the plants that are left, a couple of tomato plants that seem to be gamely sprouting and deserve a chance to grow a bit longer and quite a few pepper plants.
Came in around 1.30pm, ate some crisps and a banana.
Then is was baking time for Anne. Baked a Victoria sandwich, coffee and walnut cake and some Parkin (my first time so I hope it tastes ok).
Washed my hair and had a bath, whilst doing a load of washing.
Then it was time for tea.
50/50 toast with chicken liver pate and Wendsleydale cheese with cranberries.
Two cherry scones with clotted cream and jam for afters.
Yes, I have kind of given up on being good for now...it is nearly the holiday and with me being so busy I admit I have turned to the comfort food somewhat.
Plenty of time to get strict with myself after the holiday and the Whitby Kustom stall.
Jobs for tomorrow - 3 hours cleaning for Anne, iron the transfers on to the 20 bags for the order then sort out my outfit for the ball and do my packing for the film festival.
Slightly less stressed now, but still a fair bit to do before I can relax and enjoy the holiday.
