Monday 19th May - Just another day...just like any other...

Who am I kidding, it is my birthday...;-)
I have had a nice day, Paul has been home and spending time with me (even when I was outside varnishing my chicken coop and tidying the roof felt...he doesn't normally do outside...lol).

I thought I would share photos of the coop and veggie garden as I won't be sharing my food intake info with you today.

 This is a the only photo I remembered to take during the putting together of the coop sides.

 Yesterday I put the whole thing together...first the base...

 ...then the sides and back went on.

 Next the front...

 

 ...followed by the roofing.

Luckily Paul helped with the roofing otherwise I wouldn't have managed to finish it...as it was you can see it was pretty much dark when we were done.

This was the state of my hands when I was done...bitumen paint which was a right pain to get off! I do hope the chickens appreciate all this work...lol

I will post photos tomorrow of how the veggie garden is coming along, and the blog will be back to normal service tomorrow too :-)
