Wednesday 27th - Day Two

Up at 6.30am, let the chickens out and then made breakfast for Paul and myself.
7.15am – Scrambled eggs (3 small) with some grated cheese and a tablespoon of mixed seeds.

So yesterday I was feeling quite good, both about sticking to the first day of the diet and also in myself, however today I think the lack of those ‘naughty’ foods is kicking in. I am feeling rather down and really lacking in motivation…like I just want to curl up in a ball and sleep. Of course I wouldn’t know if a hit of cake etc would make me feel better without trying it…but I am not going to do that as it would put me back to step one. So I am just going to forge on through the day and see how I go. I know that when I have cut out most carbs and sugar before that things were a bit rough for a few days, but then I really started to feel better.

Managed to get myself out into the garden, and after about 15 minutes out there in my veggie patch with the dog and listening to the radio I was feeling a bit better.

2.15pm – A whole beetroot, large chunk of cucumber, chunk of feta cheese and quarter of an avocado for lunch, all chopped up with a squeeze of lemon juice and a tsp of mixed seeds on top.
For afters natural yoghurt, a chopped banana, one tablespoon of oats, some coconut cream (it needed to be used up) and a sprinkle of cocoa powder.

7.00pm – A few mixed nuts whilst making dinner
7.30pm - Two homemade beef burgers (with onions and an egg to bind) with kale, courgettes, tomatoes, peppers and mushrooms
For afters I had a few cherries, some coconut cream and a sprinkle of cocoa powder.

Not feeling too bad in myself, just tired after a few hours digging and planting in the veggie patch. I also have a swollen mosquito bite on my wrist…must be the first one of the season as they always tend to be worse than those that come after.
