Up at 6.45am
Today is the first weigh day since starting this new diet
(by that I mean new way of eating, not deprivation…always good to remind myself
of that) and the results were very good. I have lost 7½lbs since I last weighed
on Sunday night.
Now of course that is probably part due to the 31 hour fast,
also to drinking plenty of water (which helps ensure no water retention)…but I
was also very good at sticking to what I am supposed to be eating and it is great
to see such good results to start me off.
I guess it says as much about how much I had over indulged in the week before starting this as anything else…as I put on a fair bit in that week.
I guess it says as much about how much I had over indulged in the week before starting this as anything else…as I put on a fair bit in that week.
So a good start, let’s hope I can manage to keep it going
now…and I will be adding exercise into the equation this coming week.
7.25am – 2 boiled eggs, 1 x bacon, 4 cherry tomatoes and 1
large mushroom
12.15pm – Handful of mixed nuts (about 7)
3.45pm – Salad of cucumber, carrot, beetroot, feta cheese
and avocado tossed in a homemade dressing of virgin olive oil with garlic puree
and lemon juice.
5.30pm – A few nuts and a small square of 75% dark chocolate
7.20pm – Two home made beef burgers (with red onion and
cheese in) plus oven baked courgette, cherry tomatoes, onions and yellow
peppers with a little olive oil on a bed of sautéed kale.
For afters natural yoghurt with mango, a drizzle of honey
and a tablespoon of mixed seeds sprinkled on top.
I am now going to have a hot chocolate a fancy one (you know
the type that is basically grated chocolate) made with full fat milk. It is
naughty and if I find I get cravings tomorrow then I will know I can not have
it again. However, I bought it for my birthday and only got round to drinking
one mug full…I just can’t bear to say goodbye to it just yet.
Woo hoo...I got a comment!
