So Sunday was our car club's Autumn Closer run, our last run out of the year together.
As we don't have a qualifying old vehicle that works at the moment Paul was reluctant to go on the run in his Nissan Note, so I opted to get him to drop me at the start point and catch a lift with one of the other members.
I had breakfast of natural yoghurt, pear and oats before we set off.
It was a lovely sunny day so I was slightly concerned by the number of two seater cars there, but I needn't have worried as I managed to get a lift with a lovely old chap called Don...in his Morris 1100 (the same type of car that Basil Fawlty hits with a stick for not starting in Gourmet Night episode of Fawlty Towers...if you have seen that, pic below).
Don's is blue though.
I navigated (pretty well actually if I do say so myself...goes to show the directions were good) and we had a good chat along the way. It was a nice run and we got to the pub just before midday, after getting rather worried about the badly smoking brakes of the guy in the pick up truck in front of us! (All was ok with them luckily, but it did give me a scare to see them).
12.30pm - Steak and Ale pie, two roast potatoes and veg (broccoli, peas, carrots and cabbage).
Got a lift home with another chap called Barry, in his Ford Zodiac

He dropped me in town and I had time for an hour mooching round the shops before Paul came and picked me up.
In the evening I ate...
50g of Balsamic Vinegar and Onion crisps
1 x individual cream Victoria sponge cake
Third of a bottle of Pepsi Max
1 x Raspberry Ruffle bar

Monday 10th October
Despite having so much that I need to get done before we go away to the film festival on Monday 24th, I seem to have got very little done today.
Motivation eludes me as it often does and rather than getting my own stuff done I even managed to offer to put some things on Ebay for someone else. *sigh* I really am not very good at go getting. :-/
Anyway up at 7.45am
8.30am - Natural yoghurt, pear and 2 tablespoons of oats
Went out with the in-laws this morning to the charity shop (to take what was left after I snaffled a few bits out of the boxes, to use as raffle prizes or put on ebay for them).
Had a little look round the shop then came home.
Cut half of the rest of our part of the garden hedge, I did take a photo...but it will have to wait until today as it is late and I can't be bothered to get the pic off the phone (sorry).
1.15pm - Tin of pea and mint soup
3.00pm - 50g Balsamic Vinegar and Onion crisps and a raspberry ruffle bar (can you guess what I bought at the shops yesterday??).
Spent a few hours sorting out items to sell to Music Magpie and a couple of other online selling places.
5.00pm - Toasted 50/50 crust with a bit of butter and jam and a slice of mature cheddar
Packed up the things I had sold ready to send off.
8.30pm - 3 x pork and dark ale sausages, some oven baked potato wedges and baked beans (healthy living ones).
Syrup sponge and single cream for afters.
(Dinner was something extra tasty to help cheer Paul up as he didn't want to go to work today, he is feeling a bit fed up with it since the change over in management. But of course I enjoyed the tasty noms too).
Well, that is enough for now. It is nearly 10.30pm, I haven't managed to spend any time with Paul and the evening has gone. Hmm, must be more organised tomorrow. :-/
