Started on finishing touches for the wedding cake...as even though I stayed up til 2.30am I still didn't manage to get it done yesterday. Just wiring the cascade of flowers and leaves to do though.
12.00 - Brunch - Porridge with blueberries and sultanas.
The day flew by but by 4.00pm the cake was finished, the kitchen was back to being reasonably tidy and I had engraved two champagne flutes for the wedding couple as well.
Paul took me to deliver the cake and everyone seemed to love it. However they did get me to set it up and it was to be left up overnight...so of course now I am just keeping my fingers crossed that nothing goes bump in the night!
Didn't get back home until just after 9pm, Paul ordered a Chinese takeaway...partly because I didn't feel like cooking and partly because the Chinese is closing down this weekend so we wanted to have a final takeaway to mourn it's passing.
10.00pm - Chicken balls and half a portion of chips, with a small amount of sweet and sour sauce.
One raspberry and white choc cookie and three mint choc cream sweets for afters.
Oh, and it was weigh day today...I stayed the same, which is quite good considering my diet has been all to hell this week. I guess staying up to the wee small hours compensated for the naughty food and odd eating hours somewhat...;-)
