First a confession about last night, after I finished the blog I was tempted by something else food wise, Paul remembered about a chocolate orange he still had left from Christmas (it was going to the car club tombola...but not any more). I had one piece and then ended up having two slices of G/W free cinnamon toast (buttered toast with cinnamon and a little sugar) as I had been thinking about it most of the evening. It hit the spot and considered it had been a fairly good food day I didn't feel too bad about it.
Up at 10.20am
As nice day again today so I headed out to the garden to get busy. I was out there for a good few hours so I will call that my exercise for the day...digging, shovelling etc must count as good exercise.
Managed to get more of the vegetable bed dug and edged.
I also managed to use some of the earth I have dug out to start filling the veggie tubs in the fenced area next to my workshop.
The tubs will probably be for carrots, radishes and maybe a trough for salad leaves as well.
I also broke up another wooden packing crate (long ones which our next door neighbour gave us) as I will be using the planks to edge the rest of the sections in the vegetable bed.
Came in for lunch (although it perhaps should be called a late brunch as it was my first meal of the day...I had just been so busy that I hadn't thought about food.
4.30pm - 2 x beef burgers with caramelised red onion (not in buns), a few skin on potato wedges, home made coleslaw and some mushrooms.
8.15pm - 2 slices of G/W free toast crusts with some tuna mix (tuna and mayonnaise), one tiny satsuma and a piece of home made flapjack (we fancied something sweet for teatime, so I baked a small plate of it). I also had a cup of tea (milk and half a sugar) and may well have a single piece of chocolate orange in a minute.
