Saturday...the shops and garden

Up at 8.15am
8.30am - Breakfast - Prunes, natural yoghurt and oats

9.00am off to the shops with the in-laws, bought a few bits and pieces (nothing naughty) including some colour changing butterfly lights for the garden and a blackcurrant bush (well, not so much a bush at the moment as a twig with green bits on).

Back home around 11am and off into the garden to sort out my strawberry plants.
First I did the long trough of them in our little back garden (a bit fenced off from Gizmo where there are raspberry bushes too), I took out all the plants added compost and re-planted them and watered in.
Then I tackled the long trough which is in front of my workshop...this has to be moved as I want to build a netted area in front of the workshop for our fruit trees to go. Alas once I had removed the plants and earth I saw that the trough was rotted, so I moved them to the long trough in the added bit of back garden (were my clothes line is and where Gizmo is only allowed supervised as I don't want little land mines of poop left to catch me unawares when I am hanging out the washing!). I even had some plants left over so I put these in the two multi pots on our fence and a couple of little metal troughs. We are going to have loads of strawberries when they (hopefully) all come to fruit...:-)

Got so caught up in all that, and tidying the flower beds too that before I realised it the time was 6.30pm so I cleared up my tools whilst Paul kindly cooked us some food (ready meal so not tooooo taxing...lol).

7.00pm - Supper - Moroccan meatballs with salt and pepper potato wedges, some Hendersons Realish Crisps, and an individual salted caramel tart for afters.

Feeling rather tired now...must be all of that fresh air! ;-)
