I was up at 7.30am, made Paul's sandwiches and had my breakfast...out the door at 8.50am to be at the farm by 9am.
A morning of taking the ewes and lambs out to the field, mucking out, shifting straw bales and fodder beet and feeding lambs.
12 noon - Lunch - Ham, egg, cucumber, tomato, onion, beetroot and pepper chopped and mixed with some low fat yoghurt.
In the afternoon I went to the shops with my in-laws and was tested by all the naughty foods on the shelves...I only gave in to one packet of oaty choc orange biscuits. They only thin and just have a little dark chocolate drizzled in a couple of streaks across the top...so shouldn't be too bad, plus I am limiting myself to a maximum of one per day.
4.30pm I was feeling rather peckish and knowing that
A)It was going to be as much as three hours until supper
B)The was some homemade pate left in the fridge which needed to be used up...
I weakened and made made myself two slices of wholemeal toast, which I put some butter and pate on to. I ate this and also one of the biscuits that I had bought this afternoon.
Hopefully it won't affect my results too much, and it was very tasty.
7.30pm - Supper - Bacon steak, root veg mash (no potatoes) peas and sweetcorn.
Strawberries, raspberries, oats and natural yoghurt for afters.
So, variations from the detox diet today are...
2 x wholemeal toast
small amount of butter
some homemade chicken pate
1 x Chocolate Orange Oat Crisp (approx 43cals)
2 x strawberries
some raspberries
oats
So it was a little slip up in the healthy eating today...but no where near what it once would have been, so I am not going to beat myself up about it.
I am not working on the farm tomorrow, so will have to make sure I exercise at home and keep busy (I have lots to do so that shouldn't be too tricky!).
