Oh my, Saturday already...the time has just flown by!
Of course I haven't started my journey proper yet, but am just getting things ready.
I had a few very busy days...
Wednesday - I did 30mins steps then had a lot of housework to get done. In the evening I was out at my car club (classic cars...I have a 1959 Hillman Minx called George). We didn't get back until quite late.
Thurday - I did my day of baking for a regular customer of mine (I do a big bake for her once a fortnight), this took most of the day and as I was on my feet all day I confess I didn't do any exercise that day. Then in the evening my other half Paul bought home a lovely Indian takeaway which we enjoyed together and a red rose (well, it was Valentine's day).
Friday - I did my regular cleaning job, three hours of intense housework...and being a lovely day it was rather hot work. I felt that counted as my work out for that day. On getting home I needed to get things ready for our night away...pack a bag and make sure the house was tidy (well, as tidy as our house gets as I am not a neat freak in any way!).
We had a lovely meal at a nice pub and a night at a hotel (travelodge, cheap and cheerful).
Saturday
So that brings us to today, we went to Beamish Museum and spent a great day there...lots of walking (we didn't get on a bus, tram or any other form of transport whilst there). Now we're home and I have finally found time to get back here.
We are going to have a nice evening, watch a film and nibble on the few naughty bits (a bag of crisps and some popcorn) that are in the cupboard...washed down with a can each of Pepsi Max. They will be some of the last bits of junk food that I'll eat. I will bid them a fond farewell, but am really looking forward to the challenge ahead!
