Day Four

Well, it is Thursday...day four of the detox and the day before I weigh!

I was up at 7.20am to make Paul's sandwiches and make sure I had time for my breakfast (usual bacon, egg and tomatoes) before I headed over to the farm.

I got there for just gone 9.00am and helped out with various tasks...taking the ewes and lambs out to the field for the day, hand feeding a couple of lambs and mucking out stalls. The latter task took over an hour and was definitely a good work out...so no need to do any other exercise today I decided.

I ate lunch at the farm and only just resisted the gorgeous smelling beef stew that was offered me, instead being terribly virtuous and sticking to the lunch I had taken with me...which was rice salad.
In fact it was brown rice, chopped up chicken breast, a little chopped ham, onions, peppers, peas and sweetcorn. Not the yummiest meal I have had on this detox, but very filling and washed down with a cup of decaff Earl Grey tea...without milk and sugar (I never would have thought I could drink it but I am getting more used to it now). No photo of lunch as I forgot to take a pic before I went.

I stayed at the farm until about 1.30pm then came home for a nice hot bath (it had started snowing a little and was rather cold out).

Dinner tonight is beef stew (my own...no potatoes and flavoured with an organic stock cube, tomato paste and garlic paste) which was just what I needed after my cold lunch.

Looks like I may be helping out at the farm some more tomorrow which should be good! :-)
