A Long Day

Just a quick one today as it seems to have been a very long day and to be honest I am heading to my bed after posting this.
Up at 7.30am, made Paul's sandwiches then cooked and ate my normal breakfast...out the door by 8.50am to be at the farm (across the road) by 9am.

Busy morning as usual, moving straw bales, mucking out stalls, barrowing and throwing foderbeet for the ewes and (of course my favourite bit) feeding the pet lambs (ones that can't be with their Mum's for one reason or another).

12pm - Lunch - Chicken, 1 x bacon, cucumber, beetroot, tomatoes and onion...all chopped and mixed up with some low fat natural yoghurt. Not the most exciting meal but welcome after a busy morning. I was a tiny bit tempted by the fish and chips the others were eating...but resisted!

Then in the afternoon I got to feed the lambs again, help bring in the ewes and lambs for the night and also witness a c-section on one of the ewes...sadly the lambs did not survive and the vet seemed to think they must have had something wrong with them. Sad, but once the ewe was back on her feet she was given a lamb from another ewe who refused to accept him...she took to him like a treat and when I left they were happily snuggled up together. I hope they are both well tomorrow when I go back.

I got home just before 6pm, made supper and did the washing up.
7.30pm - Supper - Coconut chicken curry and brown rice...with strawberries, raspberries, oats and full fat natural yoghurt

Variations from the detox diet today are...
2 x strawberries
some raspberries
oats

Now it is 9.50pm and having just got out of the bath I am ready for bed.
So goodnight...
