It is day ten, I am not working on the farm today and had a lie in this morning (well, until 8.30am anyway)...so a late breakfast.
9.45am - Breakfast - 2 bacon, 1 egg and 4 cherry tomatoes
I don't know whether it is because I have having a lazy day today...or whether it is because I have started to eat some sugary things and the occasional wheat product again (berries, wholemeal toast and a biscuit yesterday), but today I am wanting to eat. So far on this new start I have been leaving at least 4 hours between meals and have had no urge to snack in between...but today I am having the urge to do so. It feels almost like I used to when I ate whatever I wanted, but as I say I don't know whether this is to do with boredom as I am not busy like I have been...or food cravings due to the re-introduced foods?
I also caught sight of myself in the television screen as I leaned over the beanbag to change channels and the vision of turkey neck wasn't great. Now this might be a bit of dehydration as whilst working on the farm I haven't drunk as much water, due to it not being available and me not wanting to nip off to the loo all the time if I took water with me...or it could just be me getting older. Either way it has helped lower my mood somewhat...plus I am feeling cold and I hate being cold.
All this coupled with the fact that my cold seems to be playing up again today means I am not feeling in great spirits, not feeling really bad...but just not on top of my game as I have been feeling recently.
Oh well, I am sure this is something I will come to understand more as this journey goes on...but the main thing is that I mustn't give in to the cravings as I would have done once.
So with this in mind I am off to put a jumper on, pour myself another glass of water and get busy.

2.00pm - Lunch - Some root veg mash (leftover from last night), a large beetroot, 2 slices of lean ham, peas and carrots. Then blueberries, raspberries, oats and natural yoghurt for afters.
I don't normally have a dessert at lunchtime, but as I was still feeling somewhat tempted I thought it was best to make sure I was properly full up (with stuff that was good for me) rather than leaving the myself open to the temptation to snack later.
I am off to my car club meeting tonight, where I intend to stay off the diet coke which I would normally have and stick to some iced water instead. Before I go I will have my supper as follows...
6.30pm - Supper - Beef stew (beef, carrots, parsnips, onions, with a stock cube, garlic and tomato paste to flavour it) with cabbage and cauliflower. Plus berries, oats and natural yoghurt (low fat this time...normally I have full fat with my berries)
9.27 Just got back from the car club meeting and I have allowed myself 2 of my oaty biscuits with a cup of black tea...rather naughty to be eating so late, but I really felt I wanted them and didn't want to be thinking about them all night!
So, variations from the detox diet will have been...
some blueberries and raspberries
oats
2 x Chocolate Orange Oat Crisp (approx 43cals)
