Sunny Saturday

Up at 8.30am to get breakfast on the go for Paul and me...bacon and egg all round.
We went for a two hour walk along the canal again, this time heading the opposite way, the weather was lovely and it was very enjoyable...though still a good work out, and we came back with the sweat to prove it...pheweee!.

3.00pm - Lunch - Ham, tomatoes, cucumber, beetroot and home made coleslaw (natural yoghurt mixed with a little mustard makes a great alternative to salad cream/mayonnaise) and a few oven chips.

I spent the afternoon doing creative stuff, engraving a glass for a friend and making accommodation for a lonely cockerel. We have had a problem with a weasel killing our chickens, and so the chickens have been found new homes...but no one wanted the cockerel. So now he lives in our little garden, much to Gizmo's interest...I wonder what time he will wake us up tomorrow morning?!

Supper - 7pm - Quorn 'chicken' pieces in Cantonese sauce (and Uncle Ben's sauce that I had left in the cupboard) and brown rice.
For afters Paul and I shared a portion of salted caramel cheesecake with a few strawberries and raspberries on the side. We also had a few crisps each (quarter of a big bag).

Good day, lovely weather and nice time spent with 'my boys'...but where did the time go??

So, variations from the detox diet today will have been...
oven chips
Cantonese sauce
Half a single serving of cheesecake
some strawberries and raspberries
35g crisps
