Watery Wednesday

And the has rain came again, looking rather soggy out there so I intend to stay in as much as possible today.
Up at 7.30am to make Paul's breakfast and stayed up as the tree surgeons are coming today to cut down the large fir tree which looms at an angle, dwarfing our garage...just in case they tell me I need to move my car.

9.05am - Breakfast - I had to have a different breakfast today as I had forgotten to take the bacon out of the freezer...boo hoo, I miss my bacon already. Instead I had porridge, with a small handful of sultanas in and a sprinkle of cinnamon on top. It will be interesting to see how long it keeps me full for.

Well, the tree chaps didn't need me to move my car and by 2pm the whole tree was down,  the air was full of the sound of chainsaw on wood and the scent of pine tree.
It is actually amazing how much of a difference it has made to the amount of light in the kitchen and the garden feels very open now!

TIMBER!

2.15pm - Lunch - Lamb stew with one slice of wholemeal toast (it would have been just bread but I have taken to freezing the bread and only taking out what we need the night before...this slice was a last minute decision...hence being toasted) with some butter.
Two small plums and a mandarin for afters.

7.20pm - Supper - Chicken breast with seasoning, parsnip chips (baked), peas, sweetcorn and green beans.
Berries, oats and natural yoghurt for afters.
