Terrific Tuesday

Ok, so maybe terrific is a bit of an over statement...but it is lovely and sunny today, so it seemed like as good a title for today as any :-)

Up at 7.30am to make Paul's sandwiches then back to bed for snuggles with the dog (despite the sunshine out there my bed is still such a lovely comfy place!).

Up for good at 9.20am, and after letting Tom out I got on with my exercise for the day.
32mins vigorous steps on the Wii Fit. I am being to realise that I am rather competitive with myself on the Wii Fit...for example when doing the basic steps I like to try and get a perfect score, but alas today I got no perfects out of the four I did. I could feel myself edging towards the 'I'm going to stay here until I get a perfect'...but I backed away from the obsession and did 20mins free steps instead.
I notched the step rate up to the highest setting for the second half too...so a good work out.

I had breakfast on the go whilst I was working out, so I could eat it straight away when I stopped.

10.15am - Breakfast - 2 x bacon, 1 x egg and 4 x cherry tomatoes

Quick dip in the bath and then on with the day!
I am wearing a skirt today...a rather unusual occurrence for me unless I am going out somewhere special. Perhaps it was the sun being out, or perhaps I am just feeling better about myself so decided to wear something a bit different. Either way it is nice to swish around, though I am rather glad that no one (apart from family) can see me walking the dog with a long, flowing skirt and walking boots (as it is rather muddy outside, so boots are a must).

2.20pm - Lunch - A bit of a left over mix up...with some roast chicken breast and a few new potatoes from yesterday's dinner with peas, sweetcorn and beetroot added to make it more of a meal.
A small satsuma and small plum for afters.

I'm a bit late finishing off the blog tonight, because I have been out to a meeting...a meeting I had forgotten about and got reminded of about 20mins before I should have been there (a good few miles away). So it has been a rushed evening, but luckily I had made a stew in the slow cooker so my dinner was waiting for me when we got home (Paul had scampi and chips at the pub where the meeting was taking place).

9.15pm - Supper - Lamb stew (lamb, carrots, parsnips and swede slow cooked with a stock cube, some garlic puree and some tomato paste) and one crust of wholemeal bread with a little butter to mop up.
Berries and yoghurt for afters.

I've got to be up early tomorrow...there are some chaps coming to chop down one of our big trees, and no doubt the dog will go mad when he hears the chain saw.
