Wednesday 7th August

Up at 7.45am

8.30am - Breakfast - 2 x bacon, 1 x egg, 6 x small cherry tomatoes and 1 large mushroom

9.00am - I off to the shops with Bruce and Marcia. Had a mooch around the charity shops and bought a nice pair of black jeans for £2.75...bargain! I posted off the order for one of my regular customers and then got a couple of bits from the supermarket (nothing naughty).

Got home about 10.45am then did some washing and hung it out.

Heading out later to take my boots to be re-heeled and then ventured to the swimming pool!

There was an adult session in the pool between 12.00 and 1.30, I got in the pool at around 12.45pm in the end and moved almost none stop (breast stroke, front crawl and treading water) until 1.45pm. Most of the people (there were about 12) were older than me, then it got eerily quiet as everyone left when the time approached 1.30pm, for about 10mins I was the only one left in the pool with two life guards watching on. I'm afraid I could only manage the excitement of the kids being in the pool for 15 minutes though...the serenity had certainly gone...lol
I did dive in the water twice...something I don't think I have done since I was at school, mind you I don't remember getting as much water up my nose then as I did today!

Came back and took the dog out for a walk, then ran a bath to get the chlorine off me. I was going to eat my lunch then get in the tub, but phoned my friend as I had missed her call earlier. I was lovely talking to her as it always is, but suffice to say the lunch was a bit delayed...

4.30pm - Late Lunch - Natural yoghurt, chopped banana, raspberries and oats.

Paul is out for dinner with work colleagues tonight, so I only have myself to make food for...not sure what to make yet, but I will worry about that later ;-)

After a bath and hair wash I finally got around to having supper...
8.30pm -Supper - Southern fried chicken breast, parsnip wedges and home made coleslaw (made with mayo).
Half a peach for afters...only had half because it wasn't really ripe enough (why is it they sell them soooo hard at the supermarket?) I mean a peach really shouldn't crunch when you bite into it! So I just had the parts of it that weren't as hard.
