Tuesday 2nd - Day Eight

Up at 6.55am (nearly went back to sleep after my alarm went off at 6.45…must be careful of that) slightly later than planned which I blame on the late night we had last night…must get an earlier one tonight.

7.45am – Two scrambled eggs with some grated cheddar cheese mixed in and a tablespoon of seeds sprinkled on top

Took down the extended chicken run and used the fencing wire to make a barrier across the garden so that the three orphaned goslings living here can no longer come and poop all over the bit of the garden nearest to the house (the in-laws were getting a bit fed up of it, and I must say that little trio may be fairly small…but they can poop for England…lol). I also fenced off the path that leads to the end of the garden and the bit of land which leads behind the poly tunnel…this should mean that the goslings stay down the far end of the garden near the ponds. It has the added bonus of meaning the chickens can now properly free range again as they can will no longer be able to wander towards the road (the worry was that they might get onto the road and cause an accident which is why there were confined to a smaller area), plus Gizmo can run around down there without worry of someone coming through the gate from the road and him bolting to meet them. Win, win, win! J

12.00pm – Small handful of nuts

Did my exercise challenges for the day…
55 squats, 25 stomach crunches, 30 bottom lifts, 20 leg lifts (to clarify this means 20 of the upper and lower leg on each side).

2.00pm – Left over lamb stew (sounds weird but I ate it cold because it had already been heated up twice and I didn’t want to do it again) with some added diced cucumber and a couple of cherry tomatoes.

6.15pm – Natural yoghurt, stewed rhubarb (unsweetened), some rolled oats and a teaspoon of honey.

I have a car show meeting tonight, so this may well be it for tonight.

Well, nope it wasn’t it for the night. I put some nibbles out on the table…mixed nuts and ready salted Kettle chips got me and I munch some of those whilst the meeting was going on. Then once it finished I ate a few more and even had a bite of a gluten free cupcake that I had also laid on for the meeting…but then thought better of it and didn’t eat the rest.

So not totally on track today, but a minor slip up which won’t stop me carrying on the good work.
